WPCA In the community, for the community

Willowfield Parish Community Association (WPCA) in East Belfast was set up at the end of 2002 to try and address some of the many complex social, physical, and spiritual needs of the people of the local area. We started by asking the local residents what they would like to see going on in the area. Out of that research we identified six people groups in particular need:

• The Elderly
• Lone Parents
• Families struggling with poverty
• Unemployed Adults
• Teenagers
• Children

To the left are listed the projects we have set in motion to focus on the needs of these groups. WPCA's new community centre - The Micah Centre - is directly behind Willowfield Parish Church. Entrance from My Lady's Road and Jocelyn Street.
