Our Impact

In 2023,

  • WPCA provided 40 people with budgeting advice

  • 300 children took part in a CAP Money course in school

  • 1 person went debt free through our CAP Debt Centre

  • we helped 150 people with emergency food and provided 85 Christmas Hampers

  • 20 people attended Peaced Together

  • 30 women took part in a women’s health programme

  • 30 people took part in adult nutrition and cooking classes

  • 2 volunteers were trained in drug awareness

  • 8 staff members trained in conflict resolution

  • 60 people per week attended Open House

  • 50 people per week attended Hobby Club

  • 15 people per week attended Men’s Youth Club

  • 30 people per week attended Women’s Drop In

  • 300 children and young people took part in weekly programmes

  • 180 kids took part in Summer Scheme

  • 75 young people took part in Summer Activity Days

  • 50 adults and kids took part in the early years Summer Scheme

  • visits to 9 different local schools engaging with over 1000 kids

  • staff participated in various local networks, including Churches Network, SAFE Steering Committee, East Belfast Anti-Poverty Alliance, Food Provision Network, Inner East Forum, East Belfast Drugs and Alcohol Group

  • we ran 2 men’s curry nights with approx 120 men attending each one

  • we helped organise a Coronation Street party along with other local groups for over 3000 local people

  • we organised a successful Christmas Tree Festival with trees decorated by 23 local businesses, 10 local community organisations, 3 local schools and over 20 groups from Willowfield Parish Church and WPCA

  • we organised 10 community events, including men’s golf trip, Lip Sync competition and different walks and outings
